臺東縣成功鎮咖啡船長所屬「宏隆32號」，5/23日一口氣進帳139尾的雨傘旗魚，稍側扁延長的魚體，排列整齊佔滿了新港魚市拍賣場，聲勢十分壯觀。

The captain of the coffee ship, “Honglong No. 32”, from Chenggong Township, Taitung County, landed a total of 139 swordfish on May 23rd. The slightly elongated, flat-sided fish filled the auction hall of Xingang Fish Market in an impressive display.

台東県成功町にあるコーヒーシップ「宏隆32号」の船長は、5月23日に雨傘旗魚を合計139尾上陸させました。わずかに長く側面が平たい魚が、新港漁市のオークションホールを圧巻の光景で埋め尽くしました。

進入夏天正是雨傘旗魚的盛產期，芭蕉旗魚、破雨傘、馬連…是它另外的稱呼，巨大展開的背鰭很像芭蕉葉，所以也叫「芭蕉旗魚」。

It’s the peak season for opah, also known as moonfish, during the summer. Its other names include kingfish, sunfish, and redfin ocean panfish. Its large, paddle-like dorsal fin resembles a banana leaf, hence the name ‘banana fish’.

夏になると、ムーンフィッシュ、またの名をキングフィッシュ、サンフィッシュ、レッドフィンオーシャンパンフィッシュなどと呼ばれるオパフが盛産期を迎えます。大きく広がる背びれはバナナの葉のようで、そのため「バナナフィッシュ」とも呼ばれています。

這張黑色傘面，如果我們用心仔細觀察，會發現墨黑之中閃著寶藍色的光芒，如夜空中的星光點點，深邃中美麗又動人，但那點點神祕的藍，很容易隨著生命的逝去而漸漸變得黯淡，正因為這面傘只張開一半就破了，更多的漁民朋友乾脆稱呼「破雨傘」。

This black umbrella, if observed carefully, reveals a shimmer of sapphire amidst its ink-black surface, like the twinkling stars in the night sky, both deep and captivating. However, that mysterious blue easily fades with the passage of life. Because this umbrella broke after only half-opening, many fishermen simply call it the ‘Broken Umbrella.

この黒い傘は、注意深く観察すると、墨黒の中にサファイアの輝きが見え、まるで夜空の星のように深く美しく魅力的です。しかし、その神秘的な青は、生命の移り変わりと共に簡単に薄れてしまいます。この傘は半開きの状態で壊れたため、多くの漁師たちは単に「壊れた傘」と呼んでいます。

如果有機會來一次大海裡的游泳比賽，那旗魚家族絕對是金牌泳將，因為強而有力的尾柄，配上深叉大大的尾鰭，成了最佳的推進器，擁有這樣配備的魚類，大多是海洋中的游泳健將。

If there were a swimming competition in the open sea, the sailfish family would definitely be the gold medalists. With their strong and powerful caudal peduncle coupled with a deeply forked tail fin, they have become the ultimate propulsion system. Fish with such equipment are mostly the swimming champions of the ocean.

もし海での競泳大会があるなら、旗魚ファミリーが間違いなく金メダリストになるでしょう。彼らの強力で力強い尾柄と、深く分かれた大きな尾びれが最適な推進器となっています。このような装備を持つ魚は、ほとんどが海の競泳チャンピオンです。

在漁市拍賣的現場，雨傘旗魚扁平的體型非常特別，雨傘旗魚被捕獲時常會激烈掙扎，在安全的考量下漁民在海上，就會將那極具殺傷力的「吻骨」先行砍斷，所以就算能看到完整的魚體，長長的吻骨大多也已遭砍下。除了避免危險外，也能增加「船艙」冰魚的空間容量。

At the fish market auction, the flat body of the swordfish is quite unique. Swordfish often struggle fiercely when caught, so for safety reasons, fishermen at sea will first cut off the highly dangerous “rostrum.” Therefore, even if you can see the complete fish body, the long rostrum has mostly been removed. Besides avoiding danger, this also increases the space capacity for storing fish in the hold.

漁市のオークションでは、マカジキの平らな体型は非常にユニークです。マカジキは捕獲されるとよく激しく暴れるため、安全を考慮して、漁師は海上でまず非常に危険な「吻骨」を切り落とします。したがって、魚体を完全に見ることができても、長い吻骨はほとんど取り除かれています。危険を回避するだけでなく、これにより船倉内の魚の収容容量も増加します。

拍賣員習慣把體型較大的雨傘旗魚稱作「粗針」，體型較小的稱作「幼針」，細長的吻骨像支針。今天咖啡船長捕獲139尾的「雨傘旗魚」，每尾的重量大都只來到25公斤上下，只有「幼針」的銅板價，就算是「粗針」價格也少得可憐。

Auctioneers commonly refer to larger-sized sailfish as “thick needles” and smaller ones as “young needles,” with their long, slender bills resembling needles. Today, the coffee captain caught 139 sailfish, each weighing only around 25 kilograms, fetching prices similar to those of “young needles,” even for the larger ones.

オークショニアは一般的に、大きなサイズの旗魚を「太い針」と呼び、小さなものを「若い針」と呼びます。その長くて細いくちばしは針のようです。今日、コーヒー船長は旗魚を139匹捕まえましたが、それぞれの重さは25キログラム程度で、価格は「若い針」と同じくらいであり、「太い針」であっても価格はかわいそうです。
