苗栗縣警察局大湖分局6/7日接獲報案，稱有兩部車輛於台三線獅潭段路旁遮蔽車牌後上路，警方循線追查並過濾相關路口影像，隨後於加油站內查獲相關車輛，皆依道路交通管理處罰條例製單告發。

On June 7, the Dahu Branch of the Miaoli County Police Department received a report that two vehicles were driving on the Shitan section of Provincial Highway 3 with their license plates covered. The police traced the vehicles through surveillance footage from relevant intersections and subsequently found the vehicles at a gas station. Both vehicles were issued citations in accordance with the Road Traffic Management and Penalty Act.

6月7日、苗栗県警察局の大湖分局は、台3線の獅潭区間で2台の車両がナンバープレートを隠して走行しているとの通報を受けました。警察は関連する交差点の映像を確認し、追跡した結果、ガソリンスタンド内で該当車両を発見しました。両車両には道路交通管理処罰条例に基づいて告発書が発行されました。

大湖分局獅潭、百壽派出所接獲民眾報案，稱有兩輛車停靠於台三線路旁，疑似用物品遮蔽號牌隨後往北行駛，警方獲報立即通報巡邏警力追查並調閱路口畫面，鎖定兩輛遮蔽號牌且車身為特殊顏色之自小客，並於台三線獅潭段沿線查看，隨後於台三線113公里處旁加油站發現該兩輛車，車牌皆以移除遮蔽物，警方見狀上前攔查，經詢問後駕駛坦承以布套遮蔽車牌且行駛於路上，警方則依道路交通管理處罰條例處新台幣2400元至4800元罰鍰，並責令申請換領牌照。

The Dahu Precinct’s Shitan and Baishou Police Stations received reports from the public about two cars parked by the side of Provincial Highway 3, suspected of covering their license plates with objects before heading north. Upon receiving the report, the police immediately notified patrolling officers to investigate and reviewed footage from nearby intersections. They identified the two cars with concealed license plates and distinct colors. The police then inspected along the Shitan section of Provincial Highway 3 and subsequently found the two cars at a gas station near the 113-kilometer mark of Provincial Highway 3. The license plates had the coverings removed. The police approached and stopped the cars, and upon questioning, the drivers admitted to using covers to conceal their license plates while driving on the road. The police fined them between NT$2,400 and NT$4,800 according to the Road Traffic Management and Penalty Act and ordered them to reapply for new license plates.

大湖分局の獅潭派出所と百壽派出所は、一般市民から、台3線沿いに停車している2台の車両が物品でナンバープレートを隠している疑いがあるとの通報を受けました。警察は通報を受けてすぐにパトロール中の警官に追跡を指示し、交差点の映像を調べました。その結果、ナンバープレートが隠され、特別な色の2台の車両を特定しました。警察は台3線獅潭区間に沿って確認し、その後、台3線113キロ地点近くのガソリンスタンドでその2台の車両を発見しました。ナンバープレートからは覆いが外されていました。警察は車両を止めて調査し、運転手に質問したところ、布カバーを使ってナンバープレートを隠しながら走行していたことを認めました。警察は道路交通管理処罰条例に基づき、2,400元から4,800元の罰金を科し、ナンバープレートの再申請を命じました。

大湖警分局表示，依道路交通安全規則規定，汽車號牌不得變造損毀、塗抹或黏貼其他材料、加裝邊框或霓虹燈、裝置旋轉架、顛倒懸掛或安裝其他器具導致不能辨認，並不得以物品遮蔽。違者將依道交條例相關規定製單舉發，呼籲駕駛人遵守交通規則，勿心存僥倖，警方將持續於台三線沿線取締交通違規，維護用路人權益。

The Da Hu Police Department stated that according to the Road Traffic Safety Rules, car license plates must not be altered, damaged, smeared, covered with other materials, fitted with frames or neon lights, installed with rotating racks, hung upside down, or equipped with other devices that make them unrecognizable, and must not be obscured by objects. Violators will be cited according to the relevant provisions of the Road Traffic Regulations. Drivers are urged to comply with traffic rules and not take chances. The police will continue to crack down on traffic violations along the Taiwan Provincial Highway 3 to safeguard the rights of road users.

大湖警察署は、道路交通安全規則に従い、車両のナンバープレートを改造、破損、塗りつぶし、他の材料で覆う、フレームやネオンライトを取り付ける、回転ラックを装着する、逆さに掛ける、その他の器具を取り付けて認識不能にすること、および物品で覆うことは禁止されていると述べました。違反者は道路交通規則に基づいて取り締まられます。ドライバーに対し、交通ルールを遵守し、幸運を望まないように呼びかけます。警察は、台三線沿いの交通違反を取り締まり、道路利用者の権益を守るための活動を継続します。
