花蓮縣阿美族現代珠寶藝術家毛皓亞（isin usin 苡杏 舞幸），6月上旬參加花蓮縣政府出訪團隊，代表臺灣參加第十三屆太平洋藝術節時，特地穿著族服、披著迎風飄揚的國旗，來到夏威夷最著名的景點威基基海灘（Waikīkī Beach）奔馳，不僅給自己留下美麗的倩影，讓國際看見阿美族，更讓世界看見臺灣，可說是歷史性的一張照片！

In early June, modern jewelry artist from Hualien County’s Pangcah tribe, Mao Haoya (isin usin), participated in a delegation organized by the Hualien County Government to represent Taiwan at the 13th Festival of Pacific Arts in Hawaii. She made a historical impression by wearing her traditional tribal attire and proudly draping herself with the Taiwanese flag while running along Waikīkī Beach, one of Hawaii’s most famous landmarks. This act not only captured her own beautiful image but also showcased the Pangcah tribe to the international community and highlighted Taiwan to the world.

Participation in the Opening Ceremony of the 13th Pacific Arts Festival｜Hualien County Government Showcases Taiwan’s Beauty to the World

花蓮縣政府出訪團隊於夏威夷時間6月6日傍晚，代表臺灣參加了第十三屆太平洋藝術節的開幕式。此次活動為促進太平洋地區文化交流，來自世界各地超過30個南島語族國家代表近2萬人齊聚一堂，共襄盛舉，場面熱鬧非凡、感動人心。

On the evening of June 6th, Hawaii time, a delegation from the Hualien County Government represented Taiwan at the opening ceremony of the 13th Festival of Pacific Arts. This event, aimed at promoting cultural exchange in the Pacific region, brought together nearly 20,000 representatives from over 30 Austronesian countries around the world. The scene was lively and inspiring.

太平洋藝術節自 1972 年開始，每四年舉辦一次，推動太平洋地區國家和地區之間的文化交流與合作。今年活動在夏威夷舉行，吸引了來自太平洋地區30多個國家藝術團體和代表參加，讓這場文化盛宴更加繽紛多彩。與會者不僅欣賞到了各國精彩的文化展演，現場活動齊聚數千人，各國表現令人驚嘆及振奮人心，凝聚彼此力量，再次展現南島一家人深厚情誼。

The Pacific Arts Festival, which began in 1972 and is held every four years, promotes cultural exchange and cooperation among the countries and regions of the Pacific. This year’s event took place in Hawaii, attracting art groups and representatives from over 30 countries in the Pacific region, making this cultural feast more vibrant and colorful. Attendees not only enjoyed brilliant cultural performances from various countries, but the on-site activities gathered thousands of people. The performances from each country were awe-inspiring and uplifting, strengthening the bond among participants and once again showcasing the deep friendship of the Austronesian family.
