0403 Earthquake | Japan Red Cross Agrees to Assist: Rebuilding Shui Lian Substation and Constructing the Peace Village Emergency Disaster Relief and Activity Center!

0403大地震｜日本赤十字社が支援を承諾：水璉分隊庁舎の再建、和平村緊急救災避難および活動センターの建設！

花蓮縣秀林鄉遭0403及0423大地震重創，中華民國紅十字會及花蓮縣政府，6/30日帶領日本赤十字社來到秀林鄉和平村救災避難及集會活動中心預定地現勘 ，日本赤十字社承諾援助「重建水璉分隊廳舍」及「興建和平村緊急救災避難暨活動中心」。

Hualien County’s Xiulin Township was severely affected by major earthquakes on April 3 and April 23. On June 30, the Red Cross Society of the Republic of China and the Hualien County Government led a delegation from the Japanese Red Cross Society to conduct an on-site inspection of the planned site for the disaster relief shelter and activity center in Heping Village, Xiulin Township. The Japanese Red Cross Society has committed to assist in the “reconstruction of the Shui-lian Branch Office” and the “construction of the Heping Village Emergency Disaster Relief Shelter and Activity Center.”

花蓮県秀林郷は、4月3日と4月23日の大地震で大きな被害を受けました。6月30日、中華民国紅十字会と花蓮県政府は日本赤十字社の代表団を伴い、秀林郷和平村の災害救援避難所および活動センターの予定地を現地調査しました。日本赤十字社は「水璉分隊庁舎の再建」および「和平村緊急災害救援避難所および活動センターの建設」を支援することを約束しました。

本次除了感謝日本赤十字社，也感謝中華民國紅十字會，不僅深入災區發放民生物資關心鄉親，也皆同日本赤十字社協助秀林鄉防災重大工程的工作，成為秀林鄉進行災後工作的重要力量，秀林鄉鄉長王玫瑰及秀林鄉鄉民代表會王則元代表，出席到場頒贈感謝狀並表達謝意。

In addition to expressing gratitude to the Japanese Red Cross Society, we also extend our thanks to the Red Cross Society of the Republic of China. They not only provided essential supplies and care to the affected communities but also assisted with major disaster prevention projects in Xiulin Township, alongside the Japanese Red Cross Society. They have become a crucial force in the post-disaster recovery efforts in Xiulin Township. Township Chief Wang Meigui and Township Representative Wang Zeyuan attended the event to present certificates of appreciation and express their gratitude.

日本赤十字社への感謝に加え、中華民国赤十字会にも感謝の意を表します。彼らは生活物資を配布し、被災地域の人々を支援するだけでなく、日本赤十字社と共に秀林郷での重要な防災プロジェクトにも協力してきました。これにより、秀林郷の災害後の復旧活動において重要な力となっています。秀林郷の王玫瑰郷長と王則元郷民代表は、感謝状を贈呈し、感謝の意を表すために出席しました。

秀林鄉鄉長王玫瑰表示，非常感謝中華民國紅十字會、日本赤十字社及花蓮縣政府對於秀林鄉的關心。除了發放民生物資作業，還幫助秀林鄉重建計畫，秀林鄉心路歷程從不安轉成繼續前進的勇氣與動力，也深深感受到日本於台灣的牽絆和人性的美好，玫瑰在此感激不盡。

Mayor Rose Wang of Xiulin Township expressed her deep gratitude to the Red Cross Society of the Republic of China, the Japanese Red Cross Society, and the Hualien County Government for their concern for Xiulin Township. In addition to distributing livelihood supplies, they also assisted in the reconstruction plans for Xiulin Township. The township’s journey has transformed from anxiety to courage and motivation to move forward, deeply feeling the bond between Japan and Taiwan and the beauty of humanity. Rose is profoundly grateful for this.

秀林郷の王玫瑰（ワン・メイグイ）郷長は、中華民国紅十字会、日本赤十字社、および花蓮県政府の秀林郷へのご関心に深く感謝の意を表しました。生活物資の配布作業に加えて、秀林郷の再建計画にも協力していただきました。秀林郷の心の旅路は、不安から前進する勇気と動力へと変わり、日本と台湾の絆と人間性の美しさを深く感じました。玫瑰（メイグイ）はここに深く感謝しております。
